A Beacon of Health and Safety for Frenchville

In Frenchville, the well-being of our residents is supported by our Local Health Officer (LHO), Donna M. Picard, RN. Donna serves as an essential point of contact for public health matters in our community.


Local Health Officers have four primary job roles:

  • Overall health resource to the community
  • Mediator–problem solver
  • Investigator–enforcer
  • Reporter to: Board of Selectmen on community public health status, and the MAINE CDC, DHHS on any perceived local public health threats
