Frenchville’s Annual Dog Licensing Process

Frenchville cherishes its four-legged residents, and part of ensuring their happiness and safety is by following our dog licensing regulations. Licensing begins on October 15th and is required for all dogs six months of age and older by December 31st each year.


Important Dates and Fees

  • Licensing Period: October 15th – December 31st
  • Late Fee: $25 if licensed after January 31st
  • Spayed/Neutered Dog: $6.00 fee
  • Unaltered Dog: $11.00 fee

Documents Needed for Licensing

  • Proof of rabies vaccination
  • Proof of spaying/neutering (if the dog has been altered)

Online Registration Convenience

For added convenience, you now have the option to register your dogs online! This service is available from October 15th to January 31st. Outside of these dates, please visit us in person at the Town Office.

*Please note, when registering online, you’ll receive your dog’s license tag via mail from our office in the month following your registration, as state reports are received monthly.
